I was so upset to hear about the death of Elizabeth Taylor today.
Not only was she a fabulous actress, she was also an icon for American glamour and style.
She sure left behind a legacy, as well as a hell of a jewelry collection.
In 1960, she became America's highest paid actress when she starred in Cleopatra with a $1 million dollar contract. The entire film had an incredible budget, Taylor had to privilege of wearing costumes made of real gold. She even go to wear some on the red carpet!
Taylor led an amazing life. She even seemed to escape death several times- surviving breaking her back 5 times and bouts of cancer. She also survived 8 marriages!
She was an avid philanthropist and a supporter of the arts.
She also won two Academy Awards for best actress.
She led a wonderful life and left a stunning legacy. She will always be one of my heroes and style icons!
The last one is because Charlotte York had a spaniel named Elizabeth Taylor!
